How to Choose Safe and Non-Toxic Beauty Products Online – A Must-Read

Have you ever had a reaction when picking safe beauty products? What’s the worst thing that could happen? It might be dermatitis, an allergic reaction, or anaphylactic shock. What you are about to discover is very disturbing. When you apply any product on your skin, whether it’s oil-based or water-based, you are putting it in contact with your epidermis.

The skin is the largest organ of the body and the one that is responsible for protecting all the other organs from invading other organs, such as the digestive system, the urinary system, or even the respiratory system. When the skin is compromised by toxins, bacteria, and carcinogens you have a problem.

Most of us don’t pay attention to what we put on our skin and the result is that it can develop all sorts of problems. Acne, rashes, and irritation are normal results of toxins in the body. When you use products that contain synthetic chemicals you may not even realize that they are causing such a reaction.

Unfortunately, these same chemicals that should be avoided when using natural products will cause adverse reactions, too. Let’s look at a good example of what I mean. A common ingredient used in many soaps, moisturizers, and creams is sodium laureth sulfate.

This is actually a degreasing agent, which works to get rid of dirt, grime, and makeup residue. It’s also used to help get rid of oils and dirt but when used in excessive amounts or for prolonged periods can cause irritation, itching, redness, dryness, and even scarring. Not really a pretty picture is it?

One thing I recommend is that if you have any type of allergy or sensitivity to detergents or any form of chemical you absolutely should stay away from them. Even if you have mild reactions, such as slight dermatitis, you could be severely allergic to something even more harmless.

Another thing you should do is check the ingredients list of many of your favorite soaps and shampoos and see if you are allergic to sodium laureth sulfate. If you are you should stop using them immediately and contact someone who is able to provide you with a safe alternative.

On a similar note, if you happen to be sensitive to natural oils and aliments you should steer clear of products that contain them. These include your moisturizing oils and lotions, your makeup products (paintings, base coatings, etc), and even your natural soaps.

Even the gentle foaming soaps you get in the supermarket are likely to cause a reaction because of certain ingredients. One of the worst is dioxin, a substance found in most shampoos. Dioxane is known to cause cancer in humans and many products containing this chemical need to be banned around the world.

However, dioxin is still used in many non-natural products and is commonly found in moisturizers, soaps, and similar products. The problem with some products that claim to be organic is that they might also contain ingredients that can cause skin irritation. Team True Beauty has loads of safe beauty products that have been tried, tested, and recommended by experts.

Some of these ingredients can be irritating to the sensitive skin of those with psoriasis or eczema. Other substances can cause adverse reactions such as redness, itching, or burning. Allergic reactions can lead to skin irritation, which can cause further inflammation which causes further irritation, and so on…

So how do you go about avoiding problems when picking safe beauty products? The best way to avoid problems is to make sure that what you are buying is indeed organic and natural. You should always read the label and know exactly what it contains before you buy it.
